Brighton’s pop-punk five-piece Six Time Champion are fast becoming an exciting prospect. As 2014 drew to a close, the band were turning heads in the pop-punk community with their energetic, melodic and reasonably straightforward sound. In fact, their unashamed homage to the genre sees them put their own stamp on the sound.
On ‘Separation’ – taken from their debut ‘Expecting Honesty’ EP – Six Time Champion beef up their emotive melodies with gang vocals, guitar riffs and what is fast becoming their trademark energy. The accompanying video showcases the band in their natural environment; fluttering between an on-stage performance and behind the scenes clips.
“We’re really happy with how this video came out, it was shot at the first show on our tour with Trash Boat and Homebound earlier this year,” the band explain. “The date was by far the most fun show we’ve ever played as a band, so it’s awesome to have a proper memento of that night and that run of shows as whole.”
Six Time Champion are heading back out on the road in February 2015.
