First play of the new Cement Matters record

By Ben Tipple

Watford based Cement Matters release their soul-punk full length, ‘Drinking Seawater’, today via Community Records. The record fuses the two genres, delivering a distinct 70s punk vibe, whilst injecting enough energy to see the band rival the likes of The Menzingers and their ilk.

Once described as The Clash fronted by Louis Armstrong, their soulful vibes add a certain edge to their sound – making ‘Drinking Seawater’ an essential listen.

Their sound has seen them develop a significant state-side following, resulting in a forthcoming tour alongside All People, and an appearance at the legendary punk-Mecca that is FEST.
