First play of the new compilation from Thee MVPs

By Glen Bushell

You may remember a few months back, we did an introducing feature on London garage-punks Thee MVPs. Filled with raw and infectious hooks, and a strong D.I.Y ethic, their working-class anthems are incredibly charming. Now they have been around the block a few times, Swedish label PNKSLM has put together an 11-track compilation of the bands work, which we are bringing you an exclusive first play of today.

The career spanning release features tracks from a shaky, rushed production job, through to their work with Jim Riley behind the mixing desk, as well as their critically acclaimed self-titled EP from 2014. It serves its purpose as a great document of Thee MVPs journey up until now, and will set them well on the way to their next chapter.

While currently undergoing some line-up changes, the band shows no signs of slowing up just yet, and rest assured you will be hearing more from them. For starters, the band will be playing a release show for the compilation in Hackney this week, which you can find out all the details for here.

As well as being released by PNKSLM, the compilation is also being pressed on to limited edition coloured cassette by L.A. based label Lolipop, which will be available at the show. You can check out the PNKSLM Hits compilation in full below.
