First play of the new Eaten By Foxes track

By Ben Tipple

There’s little information about London based four-piece Eaten By Foxes. Their Facebook description lists two words – ‘whatever’ and ‘forever’. As far as their internet profile goes, they are faceless individuals, while six posts on their official Tumblr page give nothing away.

Instead we are treated to their recorded material. ‘Shake This Feeling’ is their first output since last year’s ‘Body and Stone / Your Favourite Boy’ single. Taken from their forthcoming debut EP, ‘Shake This Feeling’ sees the band take a heavier step forward.

Where their debut single draws comparisons to emo revivalists such as contemporaries and friends Moose Blood, the new track hints at the grittier end of the spectrum – think Balance & Composure and their ilk. ‘Shake This Feeling’ sits between punk, emo and post-hardcore, with morose guitars and gritty crack vocals.

The debut four-track Eaten By Foxes EP is set for release via Monkey Boy Records later this month. In the meantime you can hear the excellent opening track from the record exclusively via the SoundCloud player below.
