First play of the new Layby EP

By Ben Tipple

It’s been a turbulent few months for Nottingham based pop-punks Layby. Having parted ways with their former vocalist, they have recently welcomed Miles Kent into the fold. His arrival marks a new chapter for the band, as they gear up to release new EP, ‘Life’s Great Illusions’.

Despite the shake up, the five track EP still features their former vocalist. “We fell in love with these songs instantly as we wrote and recorded them, and it’d be damn selfish if we didn’t share them with you too,” the band explain the reasoning behind the release. “Our lineup may have pressed F5, but our desire to craft great music as a band is only getting stronger, so here’s ‘Life’s Great Illusions’.”

Layby are ready to power forward with the release, due on the 20th April 2015.

‘Life’s Great Illusions’ is available to pre-order via BandCamp, iTunes or via their website.
