First play of the new Luke Leighfield album

By Ben Tipple

Singer-songwriter Luke Leighfield’s pop sensibilities are unmistakable. On new album, ‘V’, Leighfield doesn’t hold back from insatiable melodies, yet the twelve tracks that form the record have a distinct emo tone – one that has seen him head to the USA to record with Jack’s Mannequin and The Rocket Summer producer, Jim Wirt.

Pop-rock to its very core, ‘V’ will no doubt appeal to those who found comfort in Andrew McMahon, later Dashboard Confessional, Jonah Matranga side-project Gratitude and even the unashamed pop monolith Hellogoodbye. Perhaps more importantly, it should appeal to those with an ear for a beautifully embellished yet catchy tune.

‘V’ will be available from the 9th March 2015, and is available to pre-order now via BandCamp. Luke Leighfield will be performing a handful of shows in late April and early May.
