German punks Die Nerven take on Joy Division’s ‘No Love Lost’

By Ben Tipple

German punks Die Nerven have taken on ‘No Love Lost’, originally by Joy Division, recorded for a cover mounted Rolling Stone Germany compilation. Speaking of the selection, Editor in Chief Arne Willander informed Glitterhouse Records that the Stuttgart trio were one of a very few German bands capable of covering the iconic post-punks.

Retaining the original’s haunting, drawn out instrumentals, Die Nerven substitute Ian Curtis’ characteristic droning vocals with a more urgent performance.

The track will see a UK release on the 6th November via Glitterhouse Records. It arrives around the release of Die Nerven’s latest ten track full-length, ‘Out’, also available through Glitterhouse.
