Join Austeros on the couch in their ‘In Orbit’ video

If you, like us, are in the UK right now looking out the window and wondering if that elusive warmth is every going to arrive (hell, it even snowed yesterday), Cheltenham trio Austeros are offering a solution. With ‘In Orbit’, the latest slice to appear from their forthcoming ‘Painted Blue’ LP, the sunshine oozes through, albeit offset by a less cheery theme. It captures the seasonal shift, the overt warmth layered over a difficult transition.

“The song’s about struggling to adapt to adulthood,” vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Pitcher explains. “It’s weird seeing people our age buying houses, getting married and going on exotic holidays twice a year. And whilst I’m fairly happy with my life choices, I cant help but feel ineffectual from time to time.”

Speaking of the video he adds, “for the video we had a really elaborate idea which we had storyboarded and spent ages making props for, only for the whole thing to be a massive failure (never work with cats). So after a fruitless shoot we came back to mine to play mega drive and have a beer, and decided to film that!”
