Stream the sophomore Kilkovec EP, ‘Sick Of This’

By Ben Tipple

With their second EP, ‘Sick Of This, Kilkovec are ready to make a serious play for the underground alternative rock throne. Having already garnered attention with the release of ‘Name Your Place’ back in 2012, the Hampshire trio have amped up their raw, British sound on their latest five-track EP.

“The EP is darker sound than its predecessor,” the band explain. “I suppose we were trying to write something a bit more hard hitting than before. What was important to us about our second release was that it illustrated how we’d progressed as writers and people. I’ve found that being in your twenties is a very interesting time and our personal experiences as a band provided a lot of inspiration for the writing process. We are very excited for people to hear it.”

With Edith Bowman already calling the EP brilliant, and with plenty more to sink your rock and roll teeth in to, the second half of 2015 is looking bright for Kilkovec.
