Today we’re giving you the first look at NO LIARS’ latest track ‘Guilt Trip’. The Canadian punks are set to release their debut full-length ‘The Cause & The Cure’ this year and ‘Guilt Trip’ is the second track to be aired from the upcoming release.
“‘Guilt Trip’ is a song about regret and isolation – a cautionary tale about what happens when you let trivial things get between you and the people you care about, only realizing once it’s too late to make amends”, the band say. “It’s about that feeling of not being able to say that certain something to a certain someone before it’s too late and then having that weigh heavily upon yourself thinking… “I could have done this differently.””
Speaking about the video, the band explain: “While we were in Toronto for Canadian Music Week last spring, we met up with a buddy to watch some hockey and wound up at this amazing video production space called 276 Sterling Studio. The guys that ran it were really down to earth, and ended up offering to shoot something with us while we were in town. This lead to the performance part of the video – huge thanks to Jesse Boland and Andrew Harris for making this happen! As a band, we decided the song warranted a story. We got some talented local actors, Connor Tait and Zach Rousseau, to help us bring it to life. Mike Morash from Cambiguous Productions helped bring this second phase to life and tie the whole story together. We only had a day to shoot in four locations, including a party scene that generously had beer donated by Lighthouse Brewing.”
