Watch ‘Canthus Viewpoints’, the new video from Darko

By Glen Bushell

While on a recent trip to Japan, the excellent Darko recorded a video for ‘Canthus Viewpoints’. It follows the release of a Japanese only compilation, ‘The Beards and Before’. Today we are bringing you an exclusive look at that video below.

“Some things just stay with you” explains vocalist Dan Smith “The words, the actions, the things you could have done to make things better.  The memories grow like cataracts and slowly start blurring your vision until only shadows of the reality of the memory remains. A viewpoint of an event forever stuck in your peripheral vision distorted by a negative bias. ‘Canthus Viewpoints’ is about that kind of bias against your own actions and reliving memories of how you could have done things better which slowly deteriorate with time. All that’s left is the false memory of a memory that you need to resist and re-assess as you re-play your life back in your mind.”

‘The Beards and Before’ is available now via Milestone Sounds, and you you would be advised to sign up to Darko’s newsletter to stay up to date on announcements from the band.
