Watch Holy Pinto perform ‘Architect’ in a car… with a dog

By Ben Tipple

Indie-punk duo Holy Pinto are about to take their show on the road. The Canterbury via Manchester outfit will begin their seven date stint support Chris Farren of Fake Problems fame in the Garden of England, before joining Kid Apple for the majority of the dates.

Spending a large proportion of their time on the road, Holy Pinto decided to move their show into their car for their latest video. “The idea for the video has been floating around for ages, we had a grand plan to do an acoustic series while driving around Manchester in Ryan’s Fiesta. It was to be aptly called ‘Siesta in the Fiesta’,” the duo explain, somewhat tongue-in-cheek. “Filming and driving and playing at the same time was way too tough and of course highly illegal! So when the guys at Papercrane recordings said they were up for it, we jumped at the chance. We piled into the back of the car and with some help from our canine friend Rosie who was chilling out in the boot, we pulled off ‘Architect’ whilst bombing it down the M20!”

“‘Architect’ is one of our more cheerful, laid back songs; fun to play,” the duo continue, speaking of the track. “In contrast to a lot of our serious stuff, we allow ourselves to straddle the lines of stupidity a bit in the lyrics! It was knocking around for a while but got re-invigorated and completed after we saw a live show with some of our pals in Eat Me. Aymen noticed a key change he did at the end of the song and promptly got him to explain it to him before they were even off stage. He then warned him about the impending theft that was due to occur, it was approved… and then the song was finished!”
