With an average age of just 18, Milestones are the latest British outfit to make a play for the pop-rock crown. Having accepted comparisons to the likes of You Me At Six and Neck Deep, the North Western four-piece are all about melody – on ‘Nothing Left’ swaying between pop-punk and pop-rock, glued together by a soaring chorus.
“One of our main aims in creating these songs was to make people turn away and think, ‘Okay, these guys are good, but I have no idea what their next release is going to be like’,” says vocalist Matt Clarke.
With debut single ‘More To Me’ already turning heads, and ‘Nothing Left’ destined to turn some more, Milestones are certainly heading down a strong path.
‘Nothing Left’ is taken from Milestones’ forthcoming ‘Equal Measures’ EP, due for release on the 6th April 2015.
