Watch the new video for ‘Frustrated’ by Kids Insane

By Ben Tipple

Israeli punks Kids Insane are all about aggressive music. ‘Frustrated’ – the title track from their most recent six-track EP – offers an intense one-and-a-half minute burst of hardcore punk, led by gritty vocals and explosive guitars.

Kids Insane describe their sound as edgy and melodic, reared on alternative music and dedicating to amping up the aggression. “The aim was just to aim high and create our own fresh sound,” the band explain.

Having originally been released this time last year, the video has seen heavy delays due to their extensive touring schedule. “Nadav our bass player and his girlfriend, Adi, directed and edited all of it and also ended up doing the AfterEffects work too, along with our good buddy Alon Bonder’s supervision. The result is a visual graphic of the feelings expressed through the song.”

These feelings are ones of anger, restlessness and – unsurprisingly – frustration. “The song was written just when we came back from our first European/UK tour, about two years ago. the usual post tour depression was the main influence in this song,” the band say of the track. “The lyrics talk about total frustration of a person who feels the needs to be expressing him/herself to the max and finds difficulty to do so in the surroundings that they live in.”
