Watch the outlandish new video by JE Double F

By Ben Tipple

The relationship between hip-hop and rock is not new – take for example the recent appearance of Ice-T fronted Body Count at Download Festival 2015. Intertwining rap and hardcore has increased substantially in the past few years; both often led by thunderous rhythms and gritty beats.

New Jersey’s JE Double F adds a huge dose of attitude to the ever-growing pack, dropping the video for his new track ‘Recently Deceased’. Accompanied by a suitable surreal video the track is as dirty as they come, combining overt hip-hop with a hardcore undercurrent.

The track is taken from JE Double F’s forthcoming split release alongside Sleep Beggar, the new project by Bastions’ vocalist Jamie Burne. Both Burne and JE Double F demonstrate how filthy the musical subcultures can sound.

The ‘Too Dead To Die’ split will be available via Venn Records (UK) from the 10th July 2015. It will be limited to 300 vinyl copies (transparent blood red w/ slime green/black splatter wax), and include a full size poster of the artwork by Laura Lenihan and a digital download.
