Apollo’s Arrows – Young, Romantic Mannequins

By Andy

Southampton has given birth to a vibrant and renowned music scene, with APOLLO’S ARROWS deserving of some recognition with ‘Young, Romantic Mannequins.’

Opening track ‘Start At The End’ will leave you standing upright as its lyrics of cruel and bittersweet love slither up your spine leading a trail of melodious guitar rhythms and the soft pad of drums to a place that you have not yet explored in your brain. However things certainly take a turn as tracks ‘Life Size Translation’ and ‘Dressed as Mexicans’ plunge into a darker side of romance and self-innovation through the use of energetic guitar springs and a handful of fast fumbling across the fretboard. The vocals are something to definitely be impressed by, as they weave up and down throughout this five-track wonder. ‘Young, Romantic Mannequins’ will make you fall in love with this Southampton cocktail of youthful musicians.
