In This For Fun are a five-piece from Suffolk who play a brand of pop-punk Set Your Goals/Daggermouth have tried to spread the good word. They’re not quite as fast, or as good, as either of those bands mind you, but they clearly play with a smile on their face and while there’s a lot of work to be done, they’re more than passable at what they do. Strip the songs on this EP down and you’ll see some solid song structures, some solid riffs (although they could do with beefing up a bit) and above average vocals. There’s nothing outstanding and nothing world changing, yet they’re good enough to suggest that with a bit of spit and polish In This For Fun could impress that bit more.
