A short review because I’m not sure it falls directly under the categories of the bands we usually cover. Nevertheless this is a tight, interesting little EP by an Exeter four piece that have quietly supported the likes of hellogoodbye, the young knives, get cape wear cape fly, data select party and spitalfield. It’s a slow-burner of a record that takes in a variety of indie-rock influences; I guess it’s ’emo’ in the Deep Elm, traditional sense of the word. And for what this record is (which, incidentally, is not a genre I usually listen to or ‘get’), this is pretty good. The structures are solid, the guitars sound great and everything is in the right place. If that sounds like it may tickle your fancy then check this band out.
