Low Value have been on the go for 10 years now. They play a melodic brand of skate-punk that’s inspired by the likes of Bigwig and Ten Foot Pole, but has a very Bad Religion-esque vocal. It’s pretty good, if a little dated. There are 10 songs on this album and like bands such as Multiball who are also from eastern Europe, there’s a slight Euro-tinge to the vocals, which are sung in English. The tracks fly by following a similar format, with lots of melodic vocals and lots of fiddly guitar parts. The drums rattle along at pace; it’s basically the kind of record that was ten-a-penny in 1998. I’m no expert on Slovenian punk rock, infact this is probably the first Slovenian punk band I’ve heard, but it’s a pretty good listen. If you like your mid-90s Epitaph/Fat Wreck stuff, this band is for you.
