This EP is all very disposable – a kind of cross between HelloGoodbye and The Rocket Summer. In places it’s summery and fun, in others it’s, well, a bit shit. ‘Hummingbird’ is horrendous. It’s sickly, sweet with layered strings and a plod-a-long acoustic pace which is desperate for a kick up the arse. But then the opening track ‘Happy’ is a lovely little song that reminds me a little of Jose Gonzalez. And that’s the problem with Christofer Drew’s little project – the inconsistency. And on a six-track EP you really can’t afford to carry two or three songs as this record does.
