Even since the band were named ‘Now Now, Every Children’, NOW NOW have seemed destined for greater recognition, and with this precursor to a debut full length under the shortened moniker they seem on the edge of doing just that.
The tumbling indie guitar and synth work twirling around vocalist/guitarist Cacie’s has become even more impressive than on either ‘Neighbors’ or ‘Cars’, and the band suit a bigger production well.
It’s not something that’ll be for everyone, but as far as alternative indie rock goes, they’re one of the most interesting bands around at the moment, and 2012 could be a great year for them.
This three track preview really is just that and nothing more, but as an introduction to what could come with the album, there’s very little doubt that NOW NOW still have something different and interesting to bring to the table.
