Sometimes music baffles me. Winchester’s run, WALK! are a two man band, featuring just drums, bass and vocals. It’s a kind of lo-fi Minus The Bear, except nowhere near as good. Infact I can’t make out if run, WALK! are on the verge of greatness or whether they’re just a turd masked with perfume, hiding the stench of shit which is eminating from beneath the masked pong. Describing themselves as ‘pop drum and bass’ is a bit of lie as there’s not one single element of DnB here at all; the closest they get is during an oddly-timed drum beat during the second song which sounds a little bit jazzy. But there are no choruses, the vocals barely get above a whisper – and when they do they sound like Jamie T – and I’m not convinced either track has a beginning middle or end. Oh, and a whole star knocked off for not including a bio or a tracklisting. That’s just lazy…
