This is an odd little demo because it gets steadily worse as it progresses. A boy/girl acoustic/electronica combo, it’s part Get Cape and part Brand New. The first two tracks are really good as vocalist/guitarist Adam takes centre stage and the Jesse Lacey-esque second track (I don’t have a tracklisting, apologies) really does sound good. But I have to be honest and state that I’m not so keen on Fi’s vocals, which for some reason appear to become a bit more nasal as the EP progresses. The songs tend to get a bit weaker as well and by the sixth song I’d pretty much had enough, which is a great shame as the first two show a lot of promise. Kudos for trying something a little different because it almost works. Almost, but not quite.
