First up, nice work on releasing this as vinyl on plenty of colours. Having got all 3 it looks pretty swish and sounds pretty swish too. The Wonder Years are certainly improving with every release and you could argue these tracks are the best the band has put out so far. As Four Year Strong lead the ‘beards are for winners’ brigade, TWY are not simply following them on their coattails, they’re leading the charge with them. With more keys than FYS, The Wonder Years are perhaps a little less aggressive on this release than they may have been. That means the melodies are turned up a notch meaning even more singalongs. And that’s officially no bad thing. Kudos for Star Wars references, kudos for the EP’s title track and kudos all round for being top blokes. If they continue to improve at this rate of knots they’ll be bona fide big boys in punk rock circles this time next year.
