This is a really interesting four-tracker. Showcasing a really wide variety of influences – pretty much every from Elliot, Silverchair, Biffy Clyro to The Stone Roses is here – Nottingham’s Thousands of Reflections are certainly the thinking man’s band. So much so actually, that four tracks probably isn’t quite enough to make a full judgement. But what is here suggests a band full of good ideas. The sprawling, and often brooding, ‘All The East Is Moving’ is nicely split into two parts; the first slower and more moody, the second is more aggressive, without actually getting too angsty. Certainly worth listening to just because they’re not following any trends, Thousands of Reflections could well be onto something.
