Time To Leave – Speak Without Sound

By paul

Sometimes bands are just too ambitious and that’s, sadly, a problem Time To leave have. If they trimmed the fat from each of the three songs here you’d easily gain half a star – the trio of tracks on offer show talent and drive, the songs are well structured and interesting and the vocals show a little originality. The thing is, the tracks just go on and on…and on. ‘Screaming Lessons’ goes on for six minutes when half of that would have been sufficient, and there’s a sense the band are fast disappearing up their own behinds. Talented as they are – and that’s undoubted – I just got bored of listening to this three-tracker. And that’s not the way it should be.
