Tiny Cities – S/T

By paul

The are a lot of sweet little pop-punk bands crawling out of all the UK’s nooks and crannies and Tiny Cities, while a little rough around the edges, are certainly one of the better new bands I’ve heard this year. Reminding me a little of newer-era The Academy Is… the band throw together some fun guitar riffs and nice little vocal harmonies. It makes for a good listen and a solid four-tracker. Opener ‘Make Me Smile’ is a happy-go-lucky track which is destined for dancefloors nationwide, while ‘City Lights‘ has another massive vocal hook. The only downside is that this demo is a little rough on the recording and with a little sheen the band would sound all the better. Despite this it’s obvious the band are a talent and ones to keep an eye on.
