Signed to Sony imprint Flicker, Until June are really a pop band dressed up in indioe clothing. Although their sound isn’t too far from a Copeland or a Straylight Run, the fact the bio hints at Keane and Coldplay stresses where this band want to head. In the main, this is wishy-washy catchy pop-rock with some delicious vocals, but there’s not really enough here to make me think the band will be dominating the charts any time soon. Piano-based rock bands like Ben Folds Five and Something Corporate have managed to make an impact with huge hook filled choruses and massive singalongs – and while this is a pleasant listen, it lacks that extra something to make it stand out.
