Worst Off – S/T

By paul

The riff that kicks off ‘Fleeting Distance’ is brilliant. Actually most of the riffs on this record are brilliant. It’s difficult to pin down which bands Worst Off remind me of; at times there’s a bit of Bad Religion in there, certainly some Rise Against. I can’t quite pin down exactly where these Seattle punks take influence, but I can tell you that this 3-tracker is very, very good indeed. It sounds massive, really, really big. And that’s emphasised by some pretty big riffs. While each song starts off in the same way (long intro riff followed by big sounding vocal), everything sounds so clean and well put together. ‘How Far‘ would probably be my favourite track of the three on offer; the vocals are so strong and powerful that it’s difficult not to stop what you are doing and become immersed in what this band are trying to do.

A lot of people will enjoy Worst Off so I’d highly recommend you click that myspace link below and check this three-tracker out.
